Dear Sifu:

First, let me start by saying Thank You to you and your staff (Especially Mr. Green, my instructor). I starting Tai Chi as a way to get back into shape not realizing all the other benefits my body would reap. Like a lot of us over the years I've abused my body both psychically and mentally, I did things that that caused major injury to my back (hairline fracture of the 5 lumbar). At one time my Doctor advised me that I needed a back fusion to fix the damage, I declined and the fracture healed on it's own but left me with a bad leg and weak ankle. When I started the class I was very limited in what movements I could make with my foot, I was assured by Sifu Gohring and Mr. Green that after the initial system shock (when it actually hurt more) things would get better. They were right, after the second week the pain went away and has not returned this is the first time in 14 years that I have been able to walk around pain free. Another side effect of taking Tai Chi, I have been able to loose 30 lbs. since the first of the year and am working towards another 30 lbs. by the summer. Tai Chi has allowed me to relax in my everyday life and has taught me to slow down and feel the moment. Once again thank you.
